A full inventory of what is included can be found here: Inventory

Q: Do I have to pay for fuel?
A: You will collect your campervan with a full tank of fuel and we ask that you return it full.  This way, you only pay for what you use.

Q: How does the insurance work when I hire your Campervan?
A: Our Campervan has fully Comprehensive Insurance covering you for the duration of your trip within the UK. To be covered, our insurance provider requires drivers:

  • To be aged between 25 and 75.
  • To have held a full UK or EU driving licence for a minimum of 2 years.
  • To not have had their licence suspended for any period within the last 3 years.
  • To have no more than one fault or outstanding incident/claim in the last 3 years.
  • To have no more than 2 convictions with a maximum of 3 points per conviction.

Q: What documentation do I need to provide to hire the Campervan?
A: Guests must forward the following by email at least 1 week before the hire date:

  • Copy of the photo card drivers’ licence (address & ID must be up to date)
  • Valid Driving License Check Code. This can be obtained online here: Create a License Check Code
  • Two proofs of address from separate sources dated within 90 days of hire date. (Annual Council tax bill can be within 12 months of hire date).

When you come to pick up the Campervan we need you to bring along the same proofs of address and of course your driving license too. See our full Campervan Terms & Conditions

Q: Is there an insurance excess amount in case of an accident or damage.
A: Yes, there is a £500 excess on our insurance policy meaning in the event of a claim you are liable for the first £500. This will be taken from your security deposit. You may wish to take out your own car hire excess insurance policy to cover this amount.

Q: Do you require a security deposit
A: Yes, we need a £750 security deposit 5 days before van collection day. It will be returned to you no later than 7 days from the return of the van if no deductions are applicable.

Q: Where do we pick up the campervan?
A: You will come to our premises at Coedmor Cottages near Lampeter for handover of the campervan. You are welcome to leave your vehicle with us and it will be kept in our garage.

Q: What time do I pick up and drop off the campervan?
A: Collection time is between 2pm and 6pm. Please allow around 1 hour for the handover process. The campervan must be returned by 11am on the final day.

Q: Do you allow pets in the campervan?
A: Yes you can bring your dog along on your campervan trip. The campervan is suitable for one small/medium size dog. We do ask that you do not leave your dog alone in the campervan at any time. N.B. We don’t accept dogs in either of our holiday cottages.

Q: What are the conditions for returning the campervan?
A: Please return the campervan on time between 9am and 11am on the last day of your holiday. The campervan must be clean and tidy inside with all food and other waste removed. Fuel level should be the same as at the beginning of the hire period. The vehicle should be unpacked and ready for handover by 11am. If the Porta Potti has been hired it must be returned empty and clean.

Q: How many people does the campervan sleep
A: We take bookings for a maximum of 2 people. Our campervan has a small double bed downstairs and there is also space in the pop up roof to sleep. We provide 2 single mattress toppers which will both fit on the downstairs bed or if you don’t want to share the bed, one of you can sleep in the “upstairs” bed. If you are hiring the Duvalay bedding from us, again they can be put together to form a double bed or can be used separately as two sets of single bedding.

Q: Do you have a mileage limit?
A: There is no maximum amount of miles you can travel in the Campervan as long as you stay in the UK and make sure you can return the campervan to us by the required date and time.

Q: What happens if we break down?
A: Dylan is fully covered by the AA breakdown service for roadside assistance and national vehicle recovery. Just call 0800 887 766 for assistance. If the van cannot be repaired, we will refund the remainder of your holiday.

Q: What happens if we have an accident?
A: Please let us know about the accident as soon as possible. Please ensure all details are recorded and if possible take photographic evidence to help with any insurance claims.

Q: How will I know how things work?
A: During handover we will show you around Dylan and demonstrate to you how everything works. Please allow about an hour for the handover process. There is also a manual in the campervan to help you whilst on the road and you can also call us for help any time.

Q: Do I need to bring along my own bedding and towels?
A: You can by all means bring these along. We supply a mattress topper with a mattress cover and zipped fitted sheet so you will just need your duvet/sleeping bags and pillows. If you would like to travel light and want something tailored to the campervan, then you can hire our Duvalay Luxury Bedding. The Duvalays have a Freshtec memory foam mattress and a built in duvet for a really comfortable sleep. You can also hire a set of quality towels for your trip too and save on laundry when you get home after your trip!
