  • Just returned from a 3 night break at Red Kite Cottage and couldn’t recommend it enough. The Cottage was lovely and clean and had everything you needed and the views are just breathtaking. It’s in a lovely quiet location overlooking the most amazing countryside views, but within easy distance to towns if you need it. The hosts Dez and Steph were very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble, we will definitely be visiting again.

The basket with a few goodies was a surprise and a very nice touch .Steph and Dez where helpful and friendly with directions to local shops and attractions. • We had a very enjoyable short stay at Red Kite Cottage, near Lampeter. Steph and Dez were very friendly and welcoming and provided masses of useful information on the area as well as some, much appreciated, groceries. The cottage was very cosy, clean, quiet and well equipped. It was well located for exploring the beautiful countryside and the coast of Ceredigion. We were very pleased with our choice of where to stay and may well return again to visit the many sites that we did not manage to get to.

  • The first thing that strikes you when arriving at Red Kite Cottage is the stunning view. Photos won't fully convey quite how striking the surrounding area is. Red Kite Cottage sits nicely up high for you to see miles and miles around. The next thing is the warm welcome from the two wonderful hosts, Steph and Dez.  The cottage is a cosy but exceptionally efficient space. Its exactly what you would want of a cottage. I used it for getting away to write and it was perfect. One of the windows overlooks a lovely pond with a family of Geese and their little goslings. The only noise you can hear is the soothing bleating of sheep and moo's off in the distance - its blissful silence. There's also a great little wood burner - I was so overly romanticised by the whole experience I got one going despite it being a warm evening! The place just becomes so incredibly snug... The last thing which I will remember most is the sunset. I won't attempt to put into words. you just have to see it yourself. But I struggle to recall one more beautiful. I recommend with the highest recommendation I could give Thank you Steph and Dez- I will be back!

  • We stayed in Red Kite Cottage for 4 days over Easter. It is a beautiful little cottage in a stunning location, beautiful sunsets, and great hosts. I cannot recommend this enough if you want to escape for a while. Everything is available locally (shops/pub/curry house lol) but you are far enough away to enjoy complete peace and quiet. The cottage was spotless with all you need except champagne and each other. We plan a return trip!

  • Had a wonderful 5 day break, the setting is so peaceful, with breathtaking views straight from the doorstep, the Cottage was spotlessly clean, having everything you could wish for, including a lovely Welcome Basket with those essentials which after a 4 hour drive was spot on! We visited several local places of interest, including some of the most beautiful beaches the not forgetting the Gold Mines! Our hosts Steph and Dez were really hospitable, very helpful with lots of local knowledge and nothing was too much trouble, the Cottage also has lots of very useful information to help you plan a fantastic, relaxing break. We are certainly booking again and would recommend this Cottage to anyone, it ticked all of our boxes. 10 out of 10!!!!
