Walking in West Wales
This area offers fantastic walking to suit most abilities, from hill walks and the Ceredigion Coast path, to more challenging climbs in the Cambrian Mountains. There are lovely walks from the holiday cottages too!

A series of walks along the ridge on the other side of the Teifi Valley, visiting three Hillforts, all starting from Lampeter. The walks are among those in the book called “Lampeter Walks”. Trail Map
Aeron Valley Trail
The walk follows the beautiful Aeron Valley from Aberaeron to Abermeurig before
crossing to the Teifi Valley at Lampeter. This 34km / 21mile route follows both public
paths and quiet country roads.
A series of circular walks including several stretches of the River Teifi. The walks are among those in the “Lampeter Walks” book. There is an abundance of beautiful forestry walks/cycling nearby such as Brechfa, Abergorlech, Hafod.
Natural Resources Wales have recently developed two new Smartphone apps to help visitors to get the most out of the public forests and National Nature Reserves in Wales. The free ‘Places to Go’ App shows you where you can go and what you can do, whereas it’s partner app ‘Place Tales’ explains the cultural and natural heritage of these sites, including folk tales and audio trails, which really bring these mythical places to life.
