If you are hiring the Thetford Porta Potti to go along with Dylan the Campervan you may like to also take along the toilet/privacy tent. This creates a convenient private and more discreet area for when nature calls.
It is a pop up tent that takes seconds to erect. You can leave it free-standing inside the Drive Away Awning (if you are hiring it from us). Alternatively you can use the guy ropes to pop it up and tie it down outside if you don’t want to take up the space in the awning or you are not hiring it.
The pop up privacy tent measures 190cm high and is 120cm x 120cm at the base.
When you are ready to move on it packs flat into its perfectly portable small carry case to stow in the Campervan until you get to your next campsite.
For maximum convenience we can include a set of luxuriously soft 100% Egyptian Cotton fluffy towels for your trip in Dylan. A holiday in a campervan should not mean having to rough it! Which is why we refer to Dylan as a Glampervan…those little touches of opulence make all the difference to your journey.
Our set of towels includes two hand towels (90cm x 50cm) and two generous bath sheets (150cm x 100xm). They are 100% Egyptian extra-long cotton pile, giving the towels an extra soft finish and high absorbency levels. Their 600gsm thickness makes these towels feel plump and fluffy.
Include towels with your campervan hire and it is one less thing to have to remember to pack (and one less thing to wash when you get home). Go on – treat yourself – you deserve the best. 💙
You want to make the most of your trip by spending time outdoors relaxing and eating. So we have included two comfy chairs and an adjustable-height table for lounging and dining.
We especially selected these foldaway camping chairs for their balance of comfort and foldability. Any camping trip is a compromise when it comes to space. These two chairs have a high back for maximum comfort, yet pack away small enough to stow under the rear seats with room to spare.
They each have a cup holder and side storage compartment with several pockets – very handy. They are sturdier than your average camping chairs – they have a weight capacity of 300lbs and very strong 600D padded polyester fabric. The steel tube structure makes them strong but lightweight and we particularly like the solid arms which make getting up out of the chair a doddle (if you’ve ever tried to stand up from sitting in a soft-armed foldable camping chair you will know what we mean). 😂
They easily fold up to store in the easy-to-store shoulder bag.
The foldaway table is sturdy enough for dining but again folds away to a compact size for travelling. Importantly it has independently adjustable legs. This means that you can choose the height of the table – use it as a dining table for eating or a coffee table for drinks & snacks. It also means that if you are on uneven ground you can adjust each leg of the table to get a flat surface. No folded beermats necessary – genius!
The full size of the table is 90cm wide x 53cm deep x 70cm high but it compacts to 90cm x 18cm x 13 cm for travelling. It is sturdy with a weight capacity of 30kg and has a mesh storage pouch underneath the table top. Both the table & chairs are included with the hire of Dylan the Glampervan but if you don’t want to take them just let us know at the handover.
If comfort is a priority on your campervan trips then treat yourselves to our Duvalay Luxury Sleeping Bags. Hand made in Yorkshire, they are the ultimate in camping comfort – the absolute top of the range product! The Duvalay is a cross between a sleeping bag and traditional bedding and offers a level of comfort you can’t replicate with anything else. It also rolls up easily and each has its own storage bag. So you can keep the camper van tidy and clutter-free during the day. You may have seen the Duvalay on Dragon’s Den where they got investment to grow their business.
Each Duvalay has an integrated Freshtec memory foam mattress and attached oversize duvet. It has one open side, allowing you to regulate your sleeping temperature, making for an ultra comfortable nights sleep. So you have the benefit of a regular sleeping bag but without the restriction of movement. You can simply put two Duvalays together with the open sides facing to create a double-bed configuration. Matching pillows are also included.
You have the choice of a 4.5 tog or a 10.5 tog Duvalay duvet, depending on how toasty you like to be. The premium polycotton covers are easily removed and are freshly laundered for each trip. We opted for the stylish grey stripe design – perfect for those aspirational lifestyle Instagram selfies 🤩 #glampervan
Cosy and Cool
The Freshtec Memory Foam mattress is a technically advanced cooling foam. It’s a premium alternative to standard memory foam that offers pressure relief and first-class comfort. It also actively fights heat retention due to its increased airflow properties. Ideal if you suffer from hot flushes at night!

Whether you’re off grid, wild camping or just need a comfort break in the middle of the night and don’t want to trek to the nearest convenience, the Porta Potti solves your call of nature requirements.
It comes complete with carry case for transportation and all the (Eco Friendly) toilet care products and loo roll you need for fuss-free flushing. It has a fresh water flushing system and is a completely sealed unit so no nasty whiffs. Emptying is simple – either in a loo or at the campground chemical toilet point.
The waste tank has a capacity of 21l so should be good for around 3 – 4 days (depending on use) before it needs to be emptied.
We will give you full instructions on setting up during the handover.
We ask that the Porta Potti is returned empty and clean otherwise an emptying and cleaning fee of £30 will be charged.
We also have a Privacy Tent available to hire along with the Port Potti.
If you are planning to stay for a night or two on a camp site and want a bit more living space, the Vango Airhub driveway awning is a great accessory. It’s a bit like a conservatory for your camper van! It attaches securely to the side of the campervan creating a lovely space for dining and relaxing.
It is quick and easy to both erect and deflate. The connecting tunnel is easily rolled away if you’re off exploring for the day and features 2 side entrance doors for easy access.
All In One Inflation – Quick and easy inflation through one valve.
Alternating Diamond Clear and Mesh Windows. Not only maximises light, but also allows air to circulate to increase ventilation.
Skylight windows – run along the roof line of the awning to enhance light during the day and for star gazing at night.
Zipped privacy curtains – Simple and quick to use, zip curtains allow varying levels of opening or simply roll down and secure away.
Roll Away Connecting Tunnel – Quick and easy when you drive away for the day, simply roll back the tunnel.
Two Doors in Tunnel – For convenient access to the front or back of your vehicle.
Easy Access Doors – A flat entry access door creates easy access for wheelchairs, prams and people with reduced mobility.
Linked-In Groundsheet – Groundsheet easily links to the tent to keep the weather and bugs out yet can be rolled away if required.
Drive Away – Detach the tunnel area of your awning from your vehicle and roll it away leaving your awning free-standing as you explore for the day. Keep a note of your parking position for when you return and re-attach the awning to your vehicle.
The awning is super easy to put up as the frame inflates using the airbeam double-action pump in a matter of minutes. You can drive away and leave the awning in place while you go off exploring for the day then hook it back up when you return.
It all packs up neatly into a carry bag ready to stow in the van until you next pitch up. Watch the video below to see how easy it is to set up and take down.
