• The first thing that strikes you when arriving at Red Kite Cottage is the stunning view. Photos won't fully convey quite how striking the surrounding area is. Red Kite Cottage sits nicely up high for you to see miles and miles around. The next thing is the warm welcome from the two wonderful hosts, Steph and Dez.  The cottage is a cosy but exceptionally efficient space. Its exactly what you would want of a cottage. I used it for getting away to write and it was perfect. One of the windows overlooks a lovely pond with a family of Geese and their little goslings. The only noise you can hear is the soothing bleating of sheep and moo's off in the distance - its blissful silence. There's also a great little wood burner - I was so overly romanticised by the whole experience I got one going despite it being a warm evening! The place just becomes so incredibly snug... The last thing which I will remember most is the sunset. I won't attempt to put into words. you just have to see it yourself. But I struggle to recall one more beautiful. I recommend with the highest recommendation I could give Thank you Steph and Dez- I will be back!

  • We stayed in Woodpecker Cottage for 7 nights and came away feeling 10 years younger. Never before have I found a better way to relax. It begins with the warmest of welcomes from Steph and Dez, then you see the cottage. Picture postcard dream cottage in the perfect location. Cosy and quaint, but with everything in it that are likely to need, from a lovely welcome basket with the immediate essentials ie bread, milk, eggs etc, to a fully equipt kitchen. Once settled in, there is a vast collection of folders giving information on places to visit. There is so much to do within an hours drive of the cottages, we just didnt have enough days in the week to do everthing that we wanted. The picnic meadow behind the cottages is the best place to watch the most amazing sunsets that you will ever see. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday in the perfect surroundings, then this is the place for you.

  • Great location to get away from it all with breath taking scenery! Ideal for couples, bikers and hikers etc. Everything you need in the cottage for a short break or a very long stay. No one in there right mind can knock this place, it's that perfect in my eye's. Super market a couple of miles away for all your needs. Woodpecker Cottage is now pet friendly and that's a big one up on lots of other cottages we have been to. Highly recommend you try, you will not be disappointed. Thanks to Steph & Dez for another great stay...…..see you soon for sure.

  • We had a very enjoyable short stay at Red Kite Cottage, near Lampeter. Steph and Dez were very friendly and welcoming and provided masses of useful information on the area as well as some, much appreciated, groceries. The cottage was very cosy, clean, quiet and well equipped. It was well located for exploring the beautiful countryside and the coast of Ceredigion. We were very pleased with our choice of where to stay and may well return again to visit the many sites that we did not manage to get to.

  • “What a wonderful find!!!! We were looking for something secluded, cosy, warm and comfortable and the cottage ticked all the boxes and more. The cottage is perfect for a couple, very well kept and the the furnishings are very comfortable. The bathroom is really good with a large bath and powerful shower. The location is beautiful and the view is breathtaking overlooking the valley. It’s very local to Lampeter which has two large supermarkets and some good restaurants. However you are secluded enough not to see too many people or traffic. One of our favourite things was the hospitality of Steph and Dez the hosts. No request was too much, and they did their best to make sure we were happy. Even a late night request for extra logs for the fire :) Thanks for a wonderful stay and we will definitely be back when we have the time. :)”

  • Had a wonderful 5 day break, the setting is so peaceful, with breathtaking views straight from the doorstep, the Cottage was spotlessly clean, having everything you could wish for, including a lovely Welcome Basket with those essentials which after a 4 hour drive was spot on! We visited several local places of interest, including some of the most beautiful beaches the not forgetting the Gold Mines! Our hosts Steph and Dez were really hospitable, very helpful with lots of local knowledge and nothing was too much trouble, the Cottage also has lots of very useful information to help you plan a fantastic, relaxing break. We are certainly booking again and would recommend this Cottage to anyone, it ticked all of our boxes. 10 out of 10!!!!

  • We stayed in Red Kite Cottage for 4 days over Easter. It is a beautiful little cottage in a stunning location, beautiful sunsets, and great hosts. I cannot recommend this enough if you want to escape for a while. Everything is available locally (shops/pub/curry house lol) but you are far enough away to enjoy complete peace and quiet. The cottage was spotless with all you need except champagne and each other. We plan a return trip!

  • My husband & I were looking for a chilled breakaway in Mid Wales , What we found was an amazingly stunning little cottage furnished to an exceptionally high standard, with lovely thoughtful little extras like a great welcome basket in the kitchen beautiful large fluffy towels & lovely toiletries in the fabulous bathroom. Cosy log burner, & sofa in the lounge , which made for a very enjoyable stay. The views around the cottage where amazing, which could be enjoyed either sitting out the front of the cottage with a nice glass of wine, or in the picnic meadow at the back ,The cottage being about 30 minutes from the stunning coastline of Cardigan Bay, made for great day trips to the beaches. Steph was a very welcoming & friendly host and the cottage had loads of leaflets with ideas for sightseeing. We would highly recommend, and look forward to a return trip soon..
