Food & Drink West Wales – Eating Out, Takeaways and Food Shopping

Our cottages are perfectly equipped for self-catering, but if you prefer not to cook on holiday, there are plenty of options to keep you fed and watered. We’ve listed some local shops & takeaways below, as well as some of our favourite places to eat out. Most of these concentrate on using produce from local suppliers in West Wales. Our area has wonderful seafood from Cardigan Bay and award-winning local Welsh cheeses as well as our famous Welsh Lamb. We’ve included links to websites or menus where possible. Do check opening days and times before travelling as these can vary by season.

Supermarkets & Local Food Shops

Lampeter has two large supermarkets – Sainsburys & the Co-op. There is also Watson & Pratts who specialise in local and organic produce.

On the 2nd & 4th Saturday of every month, there is also Lampeter Farmers Market which is held in the University Campus from 10am – 1pm. Lots of wonderful local produce and crafts too.
